Iñaki Astiz Ventura
Iñaki Astiz Ventura (born 5 November 1983) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays for Cypriot club APOEL FC as a defender.
==Football career==
A product of local Navarrase side CA Osasuna's youth system, Astiz was born in Pamplona, and his earlier career was played with the B-team. This was where he met manager Jan Urban, a former Osasuna Polish player who was team manager at the time. Thus, he spent the 2007–08 season on loan to Legia Warsaw (where Urban would serve as manager) in the Ekstraklasa, becoming the first Spaniard ever to play in that competition.〔(Astiz se marcha cedido al Legia de Varsovia (Astiz goes on loan to Legia Warsaw) ); Osasuna's official website, 27 June 2007 〕
In June 2008 Astiz returned to Osasuna, only to rejoin Legia immediately for five years despite still having a contract running. On 21 June 2015, Astiz signed a two-year deal with APOEL FC in the Cypriot First Division. He made his competitive debut on 14 July, in a 0–0 home draw against FK Vardar for the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League.
